I miss “Why 2007 not will be like 1995″ in the WYE, WYG list. One of your best post of ever and against the trend in every other site.
Great stuff, buts what’s with the hamburgers?
On the left, we have a typical coroporate burger, with thin beef patties, unnaturally green lettuce, and tomatoes a red that only occurs in a home garden. A sandwich this photogenic is not available at the corporate stores; it probably never exists outside the corporate kitchen and photo studio.
On the right is a meaty, cheesy, greasy, tasty buger the likes of which you buy at a place where the owner’s name is on the sign, and the owner is likely to be at the grill, or at least in the building. In other words, a real hamburger.
So which is What You Expected, and which is What You Got? (I know which I would get!)
Hey, I love my Mac mini! True, it’s not the best seller, but it has a devoted following. I hope they keep it alive. It doesn’t seem that way, though. I was hoping they’d update the Intel GMA950 graphics like they did in the MacBooks.
As always, you’re completely correct. It’s almost erie how many unannounced Leopard features you were able to predict. Although, I guess when you pay this much attention to Apple and it’s history, it’s not to difficult to see what the future may hold. If you ask me, I don’t think Mary Jo Foley knows anything about Apple, outside of the standard Windows cheerleader talking points. It just baffles me how so many people can blindly cheer about the absolute worst products. It also baffles me how they get so much attention in the media despite not having a single clue as to what they’re blabbering about. It should be you. Someone who’s willing to do their homework. They have the nerve to talk about Jobs’ “reality distortion field.”
You know what’s different about us? We don’t have financial ties to Apple. Although we would like to see Apple be successful, as they’ve earned it, we really don’t care whether or not Apple makes an ass load of money. We know that Apple builds superior products and anyone would benefit from using a Macintosh.
Nothing angers me more than deliberate misinformation. Anyone who deliberately spreads F.U.D. for their own financial gain should be drug out into the street and publicly beaten. Misinformation is worse than terrorism, in my opinion. Why not? Misinformation has killed how many Iraqi civilians? Sure, there are different degrees of lies, but when you spread misinformation to deceive an entire nation or market, you should be (insert your own horrible fate).
Simply blogging about it isn’t good enough. We need legislation or something. I don’t know. Governments have propaganda machines, why not an anti-propaganda machine? Why not the truth? No agendas. No sponsors. No contributions. No investors. No money. Truth.
WYE, WYG is getting old IMHO. These posts are almost the opposite of other posts. They lack the depth that brought me here in the first place. They’re okay for once in a while, but … well… maybe it’s just me.
I could be wrong here, but I think the last one is essentially “WYE: An article” “WYG: WYE/WYG”.
